Futurepay (repeat billing) collection
Posted by - NA - on 13 January 2011 09:41 PM
If you choose to setup a Futurepay agreement (repeat billing) at time of order, you will be emailed confirmation of the agreement which includes confirmation of your next automatic payment date.

You will see that normally we take payment approx 2-3 weeks before the due date on the account.

This is because of the nature of domain names. Once overdue, they "lapse" fairly quickly, meaning they go offline, then soon after, become available for re-registration. This action is taken by the registry (not us) if the domain is not renewed.

This means people can lose domains if not renewed promptly. The 2-3 week period allows us to arrange alternative payment methods with you if the futurepay fails, and it builds in a "safety period" to ensure the domain remains online.

Customers are reminded they can cancel their futurepay agreement at any time.
